I'm a driver for Cottage Inn Pizza in Kalamazoo, MI. I've seen some crazy stuff while delivering the past four years but this was by far the worst of the worst.
Kalamazoo is a college town, home to Western Michigan University, or Western as it's known. A couple of years ago, the block I lived on had a "block party" which promptly turned into a riot. I'm talking tear gas, people hanging from power lines ... the whole shebang.
Anyway, wouldn't you know it, I get a delivery right to the middle of all the chaos. After unsuccessfully trying to drive through the crowded street, I decided to park my car and walk to the address. About a block into my walk, I saw a Papa John's guy pull up to a house with about a hundred people in its yard. I saw him get out of his car and go up to the door. Next, I saw a group of extremely drunk frat-looking guys open his car door, then start rocking his car back and forth. Soon enough, the Papa John's guy's car was upsidedown getting its windows kicked out.
I could not believe what I was seeing, and that wasn't even the worst part. Some complete moron goes up to the car, opens its fuel door, shoves a rolled up newspaper into the tank and lights it on fire. It took about five minutes and the car was burning out of control. Students were dancing around it like idiots, proud of what they did. The whole thing was caught on tape and most of the people involved were not expelled or sent to jail.
