Delivery story 412

Geo Man writes:

Remember Y2K? Well, it was New Year's Eve 1999. It was a rather balmy 60 degrees for that time of year in Hamilton, Ohio. I was delivering for Papa John's.

At 11:45, I pulled up to a house with a large pizza and a drink - a $12 order if I remember right. The guy is sitting on the front porch enjoying the warm weather and hands me a $50 bill. I start to explain that I don't have enough change to break a fifty, and he tells me to keep the change because I "only have 15 minutes to spend it."

Besides the obvious - he was an idiot for thinking the world would end - I had to think that I'd be having something other than Papa John's for my last meal.

Anyway, it was a great tip and yes, I spent it!
