Delivery story 407

About a week before Christmas 2009 I was asked to deliver a pizza just a few blocks away from my location. As I come pulling up to the house at about 11:30 AM a police car is driving away and there are a bunch of people in the street and a big white van right next to the driveway. I pulled up right behind the white van and got out of my truck when I was greeted by a very large, very tattooed and very angry person. He walked up and got right in my face and said, "What the f$%* are you doing here?!" I replied by saying that I got an order for that house. I was just dropping off a pizza. He responded by telling me that his cousin just killed himself. No one was even thinking about eating at a time like this and I need to get out of there immediately. Of course I didn't argue with him but as I went to put the food back in the truck one of the people came running out of the house in a full crime scene cleanup outfit. The crime scene cleaner flagged me down and told me the pizza was for him and he needed a break since he has been cleaning up the dead guy since 4 AM. The big tattooed guy did not appreciate this so he started yelling at the crime scene cleaner guy, telling him that he is very rude to order pizza while he is cleaning up his dead cousin. The cleaner guy quickly gave me exact change and asked me to leave quickly because the tattooed guy looked like he was about to kill someone.

Probably about once a month I get a call to deliver to that house's neighbors, right next door on either side but I haven't been back to that house yet, and I hope I never will.
