Delivery story 346

I work at Round Table in South Bay, California. It was my last delivery and I was at an apartment complex. When I went to the door, the guy said he didn't order pizza. I immediately said, "Sorry about that," and went back to my car to call the customer. When I did, I sat the pizza on the top of my car thinking it was just the wrong apartment. Well, the guy forgot to tell us he moved. After calling him twice and no answer, I was pissed and said @#*! it, got in my car and drove off.

The guy called my cell phone and said, "Sorry about that. I was on the other line." I said, "No prob. Where am I going?"

I got the address and as soon as I was about to pull up, I realized the pizza was still on the roof. I freaked out and kept going past the house, hoping it was still up there. No, it fell off in front of the apartment complex. I went back and the pizza was still in the box in the bag. Hell yeah!

I picked it up and made the delivery and got a two dollar tip for a lukewarm pizza and an apology for the wrong address. (What a nice guy.)
