I work at Domino's in Attalla, AL. I was on my last delivery for the night at about 9:30 PM. Unfortunately, it was a meet at.
I called the customer and told them I would come up hwy 11 instead of I-59 so that I didn't have to go as fast because I was so tired. When I left my store, I got the feeling to go interstate. I pulled in behind the customer and I heard them say, "Oh f*&%." I told them their total, $11.55, and they handed me a lot of change and told me to count it and give their change back. I knew something was wrong so I told them no and went to get back in my car. They sped off, but I heard someone scream behind me so I looked. I saw a guy about 50 feet behind me with a ski mask on, so I got out of there.
When I was going down hwy 11 back to the store, I looked through the rearview and saw the guys I delivered to pull back into the store lot where I met them. They picked the guy up and hightailed it out of there. I pulled off into a coworker's yard behind their house and called the cops. I got back to the store and counted their change and wound up $7 over. Not bad for a foiled robbery.
