I was working one night and these people ordered saying they didn't have a house phone yet. They just moved in, were on the corner of such and such, and would like us to use the back door. Two extra large pizzas. Thirty something dollars.
I started to walk up to the back door but was greeted by a girl at the gate. She was like, "Oh c'mon around to the front. The guys are up there." Barely any light, as soon as I walked up to the three guys I was standing there supporting the weight of two extra larges in one hand and it all seemed weird the way they semi-circled in front of me. I gave the pizza to the girl. She walked around the house right away.
The guy to my right started to get the money. He pulled out his wallet and only had a twenty, so he looked back to his right to his other buddy and was like, "Man, we need more money. I've only got..." POW! I wasn't paying attention at all and the guy leaned hard into a hit to the side of my face with his right. It knocked me off balance and I fell. They kicked me while I was down and made sure I stayed down. They took off with the pizza bag and some money from my pocket.
The store covered the losses but I tried to chase them down the alley. I had to walk a distance to my car, anyway. They were gone. Must have had a getaway car. I was clueless.
It turns out that a friend of a friend of mine knew the girl that was there, heard about it, and ratted her out to me. I got her name and filed a police report. She ratted out her buddies and they all got charged. It was pretty funny. I never did get the names of the guys. Just the girl's name.
Another time I had my car stolen and my personal possessions taken out of it. This was my "demo car" as we'll call it. I had a nice computer and stuff and was trying to sell a few. (Actually did thanks to the car's actual awesomeness. Not kidding. It was done really good.) Anyway, I must have shown one too many people while I was showing it off tryin' to get people to buy em'. Someone must have found out where I worked and made an order to an "enclosed" apartment building kinda' far away.
Parking was always a problem at this apartment, so I parked away from where I could see the car with the doors locked but the engine running.
I went inside and tried buzzing and buzzing again. I called the number. The cell phone was off. Called the store. They tried calling them, too. Buzzed again and finally walked back to my car around the corner. It wasn't there! Glass was on the ground. I called the store and then called 911. It took police more than twenty minutes to arrive. In that time, a couple came into the building. I saw them pull up and sold them the pizzas for $20 that I pocketed. I told the store, too, and told them I was keeping the twenty for my car was gone.
The police found it about two hours later. It was within two kilometers away on the side of the road, trashed, stripped, and abandoned. All my stuff was gone. They knew the computer was under the false floor under the sub. The box was built into the trunk, so they took the subs, the amps, the screen and ripped off the door panels and took the mb quarts too. I was pissed. The insurance didn't cover it all, but at least I got a replacement value at the time. (I used different equipment but it was still pretty good.)
I now drive a piece of crap turbo sprint I don't really care much about, cranked up the boost and put a cam and high compression in it. It's a piece of crap, but pulls pretty decent for what was a 21 second car (mid-low 15's.)
