Delivery story 272

I used to work for Domino's pizza in Auburn, NY. I went on a delivery one night and as I pulled up to the house I was looking for, I saw something in the middle of the road. I continued to deliver the pizza. (The woman never tipped me.) Then I drove a few houses up the street to pull off whatever was in the road so no one would hit it.

When I got up there, I found a man unconscious in the middle of the street. I called 911. The officer told me to park my car sideways across the street so no one would hit the body. He then told me to check the man to see if he was breathing and to see if he had a pulse. He was breathing but barely. The officer asked me to check his pulse. Being the nice girl I am, I did.

As I reached for the man's neck to check if his heart was still beating (this was February in upstate New York) he rolled over and punched me in the face, knocking me out. To make matters worse, he stole my car and all of my money. I had just finished a four-delivery run on a Friday night. He drove my car into a tree down the street and pissed himself in the process. I had just busted my butt for $3.00 on that run with all of those deliveries and got assaulted and robbed. It turned out the guy was drunk and since I didn't carry comprehensive and collision on my car (even though I did have delivery insurance) I was out a car since it was totaled. Nice people where I come from.
