Delivery story 239

It was night time on Halloween 2006. I was delivering hot fresh PaPa J's pizza and nothing unusual had happened. I was delivering to parties all night, all going well, even getting tipped money and candy--don't we love that! Then the time came to deliver to the most dangerous place in all of our delivery area, PMV apartments. I had two runs to the same complex. The first one went very well; the second, well, keep reading.

It was approximately 9:30 PM and most of the young kids were off the streets, leaving only the trouble making teenagers. I got out of my car, walked toward my delivery, and all I felt was pain. Three guys threw what felt like large stones at me, probably 15 or 20 "stones" in total. I pulled my mace and got them dead on. They ran away literally crying like babies, screaming like school girls with skinned knees. I continued to walk to my delivery, very disoriented, but okay over all.

When I got to the door a lady answered and asked if I was okay. Apparently I was shaking a little and had red marks on my face, all of which I was not aware. I said I was okay, collected the money and headed back to my car, this time very cautiously.

When I got to the spot where I was attacked, there where many broken hard boiled eggs on the ground. I started toward my car again, and when I arrived, I found it covered--and I mean covered completely--in eggs, not hard boiled. I had probably 100 eggs on my car and pooled all around it. I figured it was two separate pranks by two separate parties, but they all had to happen to me.

I got into my car and drove back to the store, told my manager all about it, ran through the car wash, and was back in business. I do not feel bad for macing those guys. They were old enough to deserve it--in their mid to late 20's--but I hope it taught them not to mess with the pizza guy.
