Delivery story 233

I worked for a Domino's Pizza in Roanoke, VA. It was March and it had snowed the day before. It warmed up during the day but everything that melted refroze as black ice that night. This guy ordered pizza and he didn't have the porch light on and I fell on black ice on his sidewalk. I dropped the pizza and the drink went flying. He heard me say a bad word and came running outside and was like, "What happened?" I was like, "I fell on black ice because you didn't have your porch light on." I told him I dropped the pizza and was going to have to call the store and have them remake it. I was trying so hard not to cry because I was in so much pain. I fell hard on my right side.

I limped back to the car and there was blood all over me. When I fell, I ripped the fingerprint off of one of my fingers, scratched up my right arm up to the elbow, hit my knee which was bruised and swollen for two weeks, and hurt my hip. I had to go home and clean up because I got filthy.

They sent the pizza back out and when the other driver got there, the dude was cleaning off his sidewalk and told the other driver that I should sue the bank because they own the house. Hello! It's his responsibility to make sure the sidewalk is clean or he's liable. I missed three days of work because of that.

People, please turn your porch lights on and make sure you shovel the sidewalk or meet the driver outside to avoid accidents!!!
