I work for Passariello's in Voorhees, NJ which is basically considered the Philadelphia area. It is a very busy restaurant and we deliver everything from pizza and wings to pasta and seafood dinners.
One day at lunch I had a nice big order of $134 to take to a mortgage company. The check was prepaid by credit card and closed and they said that they would give the driver a cash tip. I was pretty psyched since I figured I'd get a nice tip. I was hoping for $10 to $20 and figured even if they were really cheap, I'd still get $5.
I get there and nobody knows who ordered the food!! They finally find somebody to come and get it and it's this black dude. As he walks up, I see that he's holding some money in his hand for a tip. I give him the food and notice that he has a five and a one in his hand. I'm thinking that $6 isn't so great on $134 but it's $6. He then hands me a five and puts the dollar in his pocket. What a dick. OK, $5 it is. Then, he asks me for $2 back!! How cheap is that?? It gets better! I was so flustered when he asked me for $2 back that I mistakenly gave him a one and a five!!
So on a $134 order, he gave me $5 and I gave him back $6 for a tip of -$1!! That really sucked.
