Delivery story 198 Miguel writes: I've only been delivering for about three months but this happens all the time. I drive for a busy restaurant in the Philly area and we do a lot of big lunch deliveries to offices in the area. Very often I'll get there with the order quickly, only to have to wait 3-5 minutes while the money is being collected. It is usually collected by one person. When she finally has all the money (it's almost always a woman) she starts counting it in front of you and has the amount owed plus a very generous tip. This means to me that everybody who paid into the bill was happy with the amount they gave and intended the driver to get a nice tip. Time after time, however, the person with the money will count out the money, tip $2 or $3 and put $8 or $10 back in THEIR pocket instead of mine!! I really hate that! This is a typical scenario. The order amount is $67.42 and the person collected $80 and starts counting and stops at $71 and keeps the rest. It happens all the time. Ugh!!!
