Delivery story 189 JustLeelee writes: I was a delivery driver in Fort Worth, Texas. As I was returning from a delivery, I witnessed a SUV strike two children. One was a kindergartner and the other a third grader. They were brothers. The driver was speeding to beat a red light. I saw it turn yellow just as I was entering the intersection. I stopped behind another vehicle a block away (allowing kids to cross) and saw the SUV in my rear view mirror. It flew past me and struck the children. I called 911 and then called my manager. After they were taken to the hospital, I returned to work. I was very upset by what I had just witnessed. My manager insisted that I finish my shift or get written up. I could not concentrate on anything for the next few hours. Both of the children died that night. I gave a statement to the lawyer that was prosecuting the SUV driver. It still haunts me.
