Delivery story 147

BE HOME WHEN THE PIZZA COMES is all I have to say. This woman, who was a regular, ordered. She told us that we have to go through her garage, then out the back door of the garage, and then walk through her back yard to the back door. So I go there and shut my car off thinking it may take a while. I saw no garage door except for the huge doors the cars would use. I called the pizza shop and they told me to go through the big garage doors. I had to lift the door open while carrying this woman's food, then go through another door to her back yard. I went in and there was this annoying dog in the back yard barking at me and jumping on me. Oh well. I walked to the door and knocked. No answer. I tried the other two doors of the house and no answer!

I was now pissed off because I had another delivery in my car. I got back to my car and threw the pizza in my back seat and backed out of her driveway. Seconds later, she approached from the road, rolled her window down and asked if I was the pizza guy. I told her I was, but did not reveal how aggravated I was so maybe she will tip me. She pulled into the driveway and I pulled in behind her and we got out of our cars. Then she told me, "Oh, the money is in the house." She took an hour to get her children out of the car and into the house. Then her friend asked me if I wanted a beer. I said, "I could sure use one but I'm driving." Then she tipped me a dollar. One dollar! Thanks a lot!
