In Salem, NH I was working for a local pizza delivery business. My boss told me he had a big order coming up in the next few days. The order was 110 large pizzas and the dollar amount was over $1,100. For me to take this order, I had to come in an hour early for two days because the 110 pizzas were spread out over two days.
I came in the first day and wasted my whole lunch time delivery hours taking trips back and forth to the same place. I gave up any other deliveries that should have been mine. The man who ordered told me he would take care of me after all the pizzas were delivered on the second day.
The second day, I did the same exact thing and when I finished delivering all 110 pizzas he handed me a $10 bill. Now that's a smack in the face if I ever saw one! I would have usually made about $80 in those two lunch sessions. Instead, I only made out with ten bucks! Luckily my boss was nice enough to give me an extra $50. I mean, $10 on $1,100 worth of food is less than one percent. That's ridiculous!
